I started working with Petra Nemcova’s Happy Hearts charity in 2008 and became very involved in The Big Book Project.  I go into schools and work with children affected by natural disasters enabling them to use the camera as a visual means of expressing their lives, hopes, fears and their unique responses to the world around them. The work has taken me to some incredible places; it has reinforced my belief that photography can educate, engage and connect you with the rest of the world, and everywhere I go I continue to be deeply inspired and humbled by human resourcefulness and spirit in the face of the extremes of poverty and nature.
